The Ocean – In January 2025, eight passionate ocean storytellers came together to create SeventyOnePercent, a collective dedicated to showcasing the beauty and challenges of our planet’s oceans. Co-founded by Luca Keller, Julia Baumgartner, Krys Fernandez, John Roney, Jacob Guy, James Graham, David Vazquez Farrus, and Fabian Guggenberger, this international team is united by a shared vision: to inspire action through powerful underwater storytelling.
Why SeventyOnePercent?
The name reflects a simple truth: water covers 71% of the Earth’s surface. It’s not only a statistic but a reminder that water is the lifeblood of the planet and each one of us. SeventyOnePercent exists to celebrate the blue element through immersive imagery and stories that inspire change, all to connect people to the ocean and encourage its protection.
