Join us for an unforgettable return to Fuvahmulah Island!
Prepare to embark on an extraordinary journey to Fuvahmulah Island, nestled in the picturesque southern Maldives. This time, you have the chance to be part of the adventure.
On the small local island of Fuvahmulah lives a community that has lived in harmony with sharks for hundreds of years. Islanders have surfed, swam, dived, and fished their way into a peaceful, harmonious relationship with a widely feared and threatened species.
This micro-culture of harmony and coexistence is a testament to an unwritten, unspoken understanding between humans and sharks. One that we can all learn from, for the benefit of both humankind and the future health of our oceans.
The least understood thing by humans has been the ability to connect with nature – and this trip will show you a new world of possibilities.
”"Many people continue to think of sharks as man-eating beasts. Sharks are enormously powerful and wild creatures, but you're more likely to be killed by your kitchen toaster than a shark!"
Ted Danson
This is Fuvahmulah
Fuvahmulah is home to the most prolific marine life on the planet, earning itself the accolade “the most beautiful island in the Maldives.” it has been declared as an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Nestled as a rock in the middle of the ocean, the Island serves as a cleaning station for big pelagic species like Black Oceanic Mantas, Mola Mola, and Pilot whales. This makes the island one of the best Shark Dive Destinations in the world, home to pelagic life like none other. This remote gem offers year-round sightings of Tiger Sharks, Thresher Sharks, Hammerheads, Silver Tips, and Whale Sharks. Additionally, you can encounter schools of Barracudas, Yellow-Fin Tuna, Bonitos, Sailfishes, and Marlins. However, what truly sets Fuvahmulah apart is its guaranteed Tiger Shark encounters.

Is it safe?
Safety, both for you and the sharks, is our utmost priority, and our main rule is built upon one fundamental principle: Respect.
While Tiger Sharks have earned a notorious reputation and are sometimes called the second most dangerous shark, it’s important to note that no marine creature perceives humans as a natural food source. The recorded instances of shark attacks typically involve provocation or extraordinary circumstances where the shark itself was distressed.
Our team consists of seasoned, professional shark divers who possess years of experience. They are dedicated to imparting essential knowledge about shark diving safety, deciphering the language of sharks, and guiding you on the dos and don’ts of interacting with these incredible creatures.
Here are some key aspects of our commitment to safety:
- Impeccable Safety Record: We take immense pride in maintaining a 100 percent safety record.
- No Accessory Policy: We refrain from using any shark deterrent devices, ensuring that our interactions with sharks remain as natural and respectful as possible.
- Thorough Briefings: Our comprehensive briefings provide you with in-depth information, arming you with the knowledge required for a safe and enriching experience.
- Code of Conduct: We establish a clear code of conduct for all participants to adhere to, promoting responsible and respectful encounters with sharks.
- Limited Group Size: To guarantee both maximum safety and enjoyment, we limit the number of guests per diving experience, allowing for a more personal and secure adventure.
At our dive center, we are dedicated to creating a safe, educational, and unforgettable experience where you can connect with the wonders of the ocean while fostering a profound respect for its inhabitants.
